Using Accntr
Accntr scans your receipts, keeps them in a monthly ledger and lets you hand them to an accountant. These terms say what we owe you, what you owe us, and where the responsibility for your books stays.
Plainly: these terms were written by the people who built Accntr, not by a lawyer, and they have had no legal review. They are an honest description of the arrangement, not legal advice.
Where something is not settled yet — the prices, most of all — it says so instead of pretending otherwise.
Who this is between
Accntr is operated by DEV2REV, a company established in Portugal, run by Hugo Almeida. "We" and "us" mean DEV2REV. "You" means the person using Accntr, whether as an Owner scanning receipts or as an Accountant working on a client's.
Creating an account, or using the app or the web workspace, means you accept these terms and the privacy policy that sits beside them.

What Accntr is, and is not
Accntr is a record-keeping tool. You photograph a receipt with the Android app, the image is uploaded, an automated model reads the merchant, date, total, tax and line items out of it, and the result lands in a monthly ledger with the original photo attached. You can tag it with your own category. If you link an accountant, they can read those receipts, write a fiscal classification and notes on them, and export a period as a ZIP of images.
What it is not: an accounting system of record, an invoicing product, a tax filing service, and not a source of tax or accounting advice. Accntr files nothing with any tax authority, on your behalf or otherwise, and has no opinion on whether an expense is deductible.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a contract.
- You choose your role when you register: Owner or Accountant. It shapes what the account can do.
- Give a real email address you control. It is how we reach you and how account recovery, invites and deletion requests are verified.
- Keep your credentials to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you, so tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
- One account per person. An accounting practice can have an account per professional; do not pass one login around the office.
You can sign in with a password or with Google, Microsoft or Apple. If you sign in through one of those and later lose access to it, you may lose access to your Accntr account with it, so keep the email address on the account current.
Subscriptions, prices and billing
An Owner gets a number of free scans each month — five, at the time of writing. Past that, scanning needs a subscription. For an Accountant, reading a client's receipts is free; writing classifications and notes needs a subscription. The rest of each account keeps working either way.
Payments run through Stripe. Stripe takes the card details, not us: we never see or store a card number. Stripe's own terms cover the payment itself, and your subscription is managed in the Stripe billing portal we link to from the app and the workspace — including cancelling it, which you do yourself.
Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Prices are not final. The amounts on this site are launch placeholders and are expected to change before Accntr opens to the public. Whatever the price is on the day, Stripe's checkout shows it to you, with tax, before you agree to anything — and nothing is ever charged at a price you were not shown.
If you are a consumer in the EU you have the statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, and nothing here removes it. Outside that, we do not refund part-months, though if something is broken on our side, write to us and we will sort it out rather than hide behind this paragraph.
Accountant access is something you grant
No accountant sees anything until you deliberately share it. You invite them by email, or you generate a single-use pairing code and give it to them, and the link only becomes active when they accept it.
Treat a pairing code like a password: whoever redeems it gets read access to your receipts. Send it to the right person, by a channel you trust, and if you think it went astray, generate a new one.
A linked accountant can read your receipts and images and write a fiscal classification and notes. They cannot change your amounts, edit your personal category, or delete or alter the original scan. Either side can revoke the link at any time.
If you are the accountant: use what a client shares only for that client's bookkeeping, and remember that a ZIP export you download is your responsibility from that moment on, under your own professional and data-protection obligations. We are not a party to your engagement with your client, and we do not arbitrate between you.
Automated reading gets things wrong
Accntr reads receipts with an automated model. It will sometimes be wrong. A total can be misread, a date can land a digit off, a line item can be missed or invented, a category or ledger account can be plainly inappropriate. Faded thermal paper, a crumpled receipt, a bad photo and an unusual layout all make it worse. Check every value before you rely on it.
You remain solely responsible for your own bookkeeping, your accounting records and your tax filings. Accntr is not your accountant, does not review your books and verifies nothing. If a figure in Accntr is wrong and you file it, that is your filing and your liability, not ours — including any tax, penalty or interest that follows.
Keep your original receipts for as long as the law where you are requires. A photo in Accntr is a convenience, not a guarantee that your tax authority will accept it in place of the paper. Check what your own rules demand.
Acceptable use
- Upload your own receipts and business records, or your client's with their agreement. Not documents about other people that you have no right to hold.
- Do not try to reach another account's data, guess pairing codes, or poke at the API for anything other than your own account.
- Do not work around the free scan limit or the subscription gates, whether by scripting, by multiple accounts or by tampering with the app.
- Do not use Accntr for anything unlawful, and do not upload illegal content or malware.
- Do not attack the service, load it deliberately, resell it, or scrape it in bulk. Automated or high-volume use needs our agreement first.
We can suspend or close an account that does any of this. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first.
Availability, and an early product
Accntr is new and small. It is provided as it is, with no uptime guarantee and no promise that it will be free of faults. We will take it offline for maintenance when we have to, and features can change, be added or be removed as it develops.
If we ever decide to shut Accntr down, we will tell you in advance and give you time to get your receipts out before anything is deleted.
Your receipts stay yours
Your receipts, your images and your data are yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store them, re-encode the images, send an image to our extraction provider to be read, show them back to you, and show them to the accountants you linked. Nothing beyond that.
We do not train models on your receipts, we do not licence them to anyone, and we do not sell them. The privacy policy names every third party that touches them.
Accntr itself — the app, the workspace, the name and the design — stays ours.
Ending it
You can stop using Accntr whenever you like, and cancel a subscription yourself in the billing portal. Cancelling billing does not delete your data.
Deleting the account and its receipts is a request by email today, because self-service deletion is not built yet. The privacy policy explains exactly what happens and what we are obliged to keep.
We can suspend or terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or for non-payment after a failed subscription payment. Except where the breach makes it unreasonable, we will warn you first.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Accntr is provided without warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the extraction will be accurate or complete.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business or lost data; for tax, penalties or interest arising from a filing you made; or for what an accountant you gave access to does with what they saw or exported.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
None of this limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Changes to these terms
We can change these terms as the product changes. The date at the top moves when we do, and anything that materially affects you — pricing, what a subscription includes, how access works — is announced in the app or by email before it takes effect.
If you do not agree with a change, stop using Accntr, cancel the subscription and ask us to delete your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction over any dispute under them.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not take away the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, nor your right to bring a case where you live.
